The Motul DOT 5.1 Brake Fluid is specially designed with a non-silicone base and should not be mixed with DOT 5 Brake Fluid. It is a 100% synthetic fluid with polyglycol bases and boasts a high wet boiling point of 185º C / 365º F. Unlike silicone-based fluids like DOT5, it can be mixed with DOT3 and DOT4 as well as non-silicone-based products for use in 2015 and newer OTK Karts, including Tonykart, FA, and Kosmic Brake Systems.
