BEAR’S TOOTH MUSHROOMS Hericium americanum Bear’s tooth is found in eastern hardwood forests and is closely related to the lion’s mane mushroom. Most of the Hericium species share similar medicinal molecules including the water-soluble compounds that promote nerve growth factor. Sawdust spawn is 5 pounds net weight. Mushroom plug spawn is sold in bags of 100 and, bulk plug spawn in bags of 500. Modified cheese wax is available for purchase with the bag of 100 plugs.
