Cheese wax is used to seal in the dowel spawn once the log has been inoculated. Cheese wax provides good coverage of sawdust plugged holes without cracking or popping off the log in cold weather. It can be applied with our wax daubers. Depending on how you apply it, a one pound block of sealing wax will cover about 10 to 20 logs with about 30 plugs per log. Available in 1 pound increments.
