This soft jacket has no canvas, little or no padding, no roping, and no lining except for in the shoulder and through the sleeves. The deconstructed jacket maintains a soft, loose shape and is a favorite during the spring and summer, but also layers up well for fall and early winter. Easy to dress up or dress down, deconstructed jackets first appeared as a men's garment at the end of the 19th century. They were developed from blazers, the classical blue jackets with golden buttons, lower patch pockets, and top left breast pocket.
