The painting depicts a colorful composition with expressive brushstrokes. Signed and dated "STOMPS 63" to the upper right corner, the painting is displayed in a gold tone wooden frame behind a cream and navy blue double mat. Walter Stomps, Jr. was born in Ohio and lived in Kentucky later in life. He completed his education at the Art Institute of Chicago in 1959 and then taught at the Middletown Fine Arts Center, Dayton Arts Institute, and Western Kentucky University.   Measurements: 39.25” W x 25.5” H x 1.25” D (frame); 28.75” W x 16” H (sight).
