Large Louisiana oyster shell dish. These oysters are large ( 4-5 inches in length ) and have a nice round shape (2-3 inches wide) which make them perfect for jewelry storage or as a trinket dish or just as coastal décor. The oysters were harvested in Louisiana just outside of New Orleans. I decoupage each shell with a set of watercolor whales. The edges of the oyster are gilded with liquid gold leaf paint. I finish the entire shell with a protective gloss finish.
