Run Chang Tang 潤腸湯

Linum & Rhubarb Formula (dryness-moistening formula) EFFECTS: moistening dryness  and unblocking the intestines; tonifying qi and activating blood. INDICATION: latent heat in the intestines and stomach; dryness in large intestines; astringent constipation; no thought of food; wind  bind; blood  bind. CLINICAL REFERENCE: This formula is often used in treating atonic constipation due to fluid depletion; habitual constipation; senile constipation; constipation due to hypertension/atherosclerosis/chronic nephritis; intractable constipation, etc.
