Forsythia & Laminaria Combination (formula for treating abscesses and ulcers) EFFECTS: dispersing nodules and promoting rupture; detoxifying and expelling pus. INDICATION: all suppurative sores and ulcers; stone-hard swelling and distention, swollen sore remaining hard after rupture, breaking out with pus vet not resolved. CLINICAL REFERENCE: This formula is often used in treating cervical lymphadenitis; struma; cellulitis; goiters and tumors of the neck; all acute inflammation; swollen hardness, toxic gas and saber and pearl-string lumps resulting from suppurative sore and ulcer, etc. Fo swelling and pain due to goiters and tumors of the neck, couple with Platycodon & Chih-shih Formula(Pai Nong San); For swelling and pain due to abscess, couple with Gleditsia Combination(Tuo Li Xiao Du Yin)
