Red Roses Velvet Versatile Poncho

A versatile poncho that slips over the head and can be worn also as a shawl or scarf. Made of devoré (burnout) velvet, the fabric is sheer silk chiffon backing dyed gray, dotted with a shimmering pattern of red roses on thorny branches. The velvet has been hand-painted with with washes of color making it a true one-of-a-kind.  This fabric is washed as part of the burnout and dying and process and so is washable in a cold, gentle cycle after wear. Following with a hot drying cycle will add to its softness. Silk velvet is the highest quality velvet. Made of natural materials makes it luxuriously soft. This poncho adds just enough covering on a chill evening. It can be paired with an elegant dress or worn as a top over a shirt with jeans.
