We've got SOCKS! On March 21 2026 Sherms Catering & the Down Syndrome Association of DE will be joining schools, businesses and organizations around the world in celebrating WORLD DOWN SYNDROME DAY. It all began with Sherm's Catering when I, Sherm, received a call from a friend whose nephew had Down Syndrome. He asked if I could support his nephew's school fundraiser by purchasing some socks. "How much are they?" I inquired. "Just a buck a pair," he replied. Without hesitation, I ordered 20 pairs. These socks were then displayed at the CHS Memorial Fire Hall, where curious passersby asked about the contents of the bag. I proudly explained that they were socks for my friend's nephew's school. By day's end, the bag was empty—every pair sold. When I called my friend to replenish the stock, I realized there was something special about these socks. Fast forward to our first year running the Bistro @ Prides Crossing, where we sold an astonishing 500 pairs of socks. I'm eager to replicate
