Rock your Socks

It all began with Sherm's Catering when I, Sherm, received a call from a friend whose nephew had Down Syndrome. He asked if I could support his nephew's school fundraiser by purchasing some socks. "How much are they?" I inquired. "Just a buck a pair," he replied. Without hesitation, I ordered 20 pairs. These socks were then displayed at the CHS Memorial Fire Hall, where curious passersby asked about the contents of the bag. I proudly explained that they were socks for my friend's nephew's school. By day's end, the bag was empty—every pair sold. When I called my friend to replenish the stock, I realized there was something special about these socks. Fast forward to our first year running the Bistro @ Prides Crossing, where we sold an astonishing 500 pairs of socks. I'm eager to replicate this success again this year.
