Arita ware dish with the traditional blue and white hand painted design displaying the Shōchikubai (pine, bamboo, plum) motif. Shōchikubai represents longevity and resilience, as pine and bamboo remain green through the winter and the plum tree is amongst the first plants to flower after the winter.
