Hand sewn boro 襤褸 furoshiki wrapping cloth.  Furoshiki are used by placing cargo in the center and tying up the corners.   The center is reinforced.  The corners are stretched from the tying.  Boro is a Japanese form of recycling coming from an economic necessity in which fabric is patched on the reverse side to preserve its usability.  The beauty comes from the unintentional artistry created from layers of mending.  Cotton Indigo Early 20th Century 79" x 72" (length, width) SKU: FT-Y3486
