Yahata clothing chests are known for their ornate hand forged iron hardware and larger size. The details of the ironwork show an abundance of fortuitous symbols including: crane, tortoise, lucky gods, pine, plum and bamboo, moneybags etc. These indicate the chest was originally a wedding chest.
