A Great Japanese Woodblock Print Kobayashi Kiyochika Light House during the Night of May
This is a very beautiful and colorful Japanese woodblock print “Light House during the Night of May” signed by the famous Meiji woodblock print master Kiyochika Kobayashi (1847-1915) originally made in Meiji 13, which is 1880 IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. This woodblock print should be made in Showa era around 1960s. This woodblock print is one of the core collections of a large number of gorgeous, different-styled Japanese woodblock print collections in my family. We are gradually selling them. Kobayashi Kiyochika’s signature is at the lower left corner of the print while the publisher’s name, address and publication date “Meiji 13” are in lower right border. The title of this woodblock print is in the bottom border. All four borders are intact. The colors, which are vivid and vibrant, are in layers on the print.
