The bed is a queen size bed, black walnut slabs from a ranch and mill in east Texas. Original design, it has a sturdy slat system for holding all kinds of mattresses. The headboard, footboard and legs were all made from two wide slabs of wood, and are about 1-5/8 thick. It is finished with boiled linseed oil and satin lacquer.
