Nami Usagi Rabbit on Wave Pin [secret shop]
This rabbit running across the waves is a classic Japanese motif. In Japanese folklore, the rabbit is associated with the moon as the Japanese believe the moon’s craters create imagery that looks like a rabbit pounding mochi. As the moon affects all bodies of water, including the ocean, imagery of rabbits, the moon and ocean are often mixed together. This design features all three and is available in a cold ocean night variant with pearlescent moon and translucent waves, and a black-and-grey irezumi (Japanese tattoo) variant. About the Collection This was the first design for 2023’s Moujuu Pin Club theme centered around animals commonly found in Japanese artistic motifs.
