Tuberose Absolute
Polianthes tuberose is a native plant of Mexico. It is a night blooming plant. Commonly known as tuberose, this plant in Greek means 'many flowers'. This perennial plant grows up to the length of 45 cm. It produces cluster of fragrant waxy white flowers. The leaves are long and bright green in color huddled at the base of the plant. Tuberose is also cultivated in France, Morocco, India as well as Egypt. Oil Tuberose oil is mainly spicy and heavy with sweet fragrance to its credit. It is honey-like and has narcotic undertones. It is golden orange in color and is almost solid at room temperature. It blends well with warm water. This oil blends nicely with carnation, jasmine, peru balsam, rose otto, Ylang Ylang, gardenia, violet, etc. Extraction The extraction process of Tuberose oil is also similar to other natural oil. It is extracted through solvent extraction process. There is another alternative method of extraction and that is Enfleurage, the ancient way of extraction using palm oil
