Antique Japanese 1pc Tansu Chest Taisho Era c1920's Ishodansu Kiri Wood 37"

This Taisho era one piece clothing chest or Ishodansu was originally the top part of a three piece tansu. In all there are 3 drawers and a cabinet with sliding doors. Half of the interior cabinet is spanned by a shelf. Bronze hardware pulls with Crane & Turtle motif lock plates.  Custom iron base is about 7" high and brings the piece up to a convenient 27". Locally made by a welding artist that we have worked with for over 20 years. Legs have a subtle but elegant flare.  Taisho era, c1920's Kiri case and interior (Paulownia) 37" x 18" x 16.5" (width x height x depth) Note that other items shown in the photos are not included in the purchase of this tansu.
