Antique Japanese Abacus Professional 115 Wooden Bead 23 Decimal Soroban 13"

This is an antique Japanese 115 bead Abacus known as a soroban. This is a luxury professional style Soroban for serious users. It features a luxurious persimmon wood frame, reenforced folded steal end frames with slotted screws and a bone inlayed crossbar. The top frame is carved to a triangular point to speed up resting fingers of the calculating hand.  This abacus measures 13" wide by 2 1/4" tall by 1/2" deep (33 x 6 x 1 cm). Other than normal signs of chipping wear on the steal ends (see photos) it remains in good condition.
