I created this to immortalize the spirit of the hero's of the Holocaust and the legacy of my Holocaust-survivor grandparents, great-aunts and great-uncles. This painting was created with all my heart to serve as a reminder that it is up to us to tell their stories. The lips are made up of the faces of the heroes of the Holocaust... the individuals who saved children, saved families, hid Jewish people in their homes, spoke up, fought, worked undercover, helped liberate....
