The Chichen is a slip-on sandal with open-toe design and a fixed heel strap in the back. Handmade in Mexico by indigenous artisans using traditional huarache making equipments and techniques. The Chamula huarache features old-world craftsmanship and intensely considered designs. Inspired by designer Yuki Matsuda’s travels through rural Mexico in the 1990’s, Chamula strives to preserve the art of delicately-made goods in highlands of Mexico. Each Chamula product is imbued with the delightful variances and rich character that can only be achieved through the careful handiwork of master craftspeople. 100% vegetable tanned leather upper, crepe sole.  Made in Mexico.
