96" Tension Bar For Chain Link Fences
While a tension bar might appear to be nothing more than a simple piece of metal, it is actually one of the most essential components in the building of a chain link fence. For it is this elongated, narrow accessory that provides the tension needed to make the fence fabric rigid and stable—and, thus, prevent animals and people from easily lifting the fabric and crawling under. An important note: Before installing the tension bars and chain link fabric, the terminal posts on your fence need to be fitted with tension bands. After installing the line posts, terminal posts, and top rails, attach the chain link fabric. Do so by unrolling the fabric and standing up one end of it so that it is parallel to the nearest terminal post. Keep the fabric in place and carefully slide the tension bar vertically through the tension bands as well as the "knuckles" at the end of the fabric.
