Whole Dried Yahualica Chile Peppers (2024 Harvest)
Whole dried heirloom chilis with complex flavors of smoke and stone fruit and a lingering heat. They'll add the perfect kick of heat to your pot of beans, chili or home made salsa. I like to mix in one or two of these with a milder pepper like Ancho or Pasilla for a balance of heat and fruity, smoky flavor in sauces and salsas. Sun ripened throughout the season and sustainably grown using organic practices in northern California. These delectable peppers were hand harvested in early November 2024 and dried whole by our friends at Boonville Barn Collective. The Yahualica is the mother of all chile de arbol peppers originating from the Jalisco region of Mexico.
