Pink Amethyst Mountain

In the Pacific Northwest we are lucky to have daily peeks of peaks. These natural gemstones will bring the beauty of the PNW to any collection. Each of our pink amethyst mountains are hand cut and polished to showcase the unique features of the stones. Pink amethyst is a newly discovered variety of amethyst from Patagonia, Argentina. It is sometimes called lavender or rose amethyst. The cool, soothing tones of light pink to deeper peachy-pink are reminiscent of an impressionist painting. Each piece of pink amethyst is a truly unique and individual masterpiece created by the Earth.  The colors found in pink amethyst result from hematite inclusions. Just like purple amethyst, it is a variety of quartz. The name amethyst is Greek and means not intoxicate, named for the belief that wearing amethyst prevents drunkenness from consuming wine.
