Rose quartz is a type of quartz that gets its pink color from tiny mineral inclusions of titanium, manganese, or iron. It typically forms in pegmatites, which are coarse-grained igneous rocks that form from slow-cooling magma. The formation process of rose quartz starts with the formation of pegmatite veins in the Earth's crust. These veins are filled with a hot, mineral-rich fluid that cools and crystallizes over time. As the fluid cools, it becomes supersaturated with silica, which then begins to crystallize and form quartz. In the case of rose quartz, the pink coloration is caused by the presence of iron, titanium, or manganese ions that substitute for some of the silicon ions in the quartz crystal lattice. This results in a pale pink to rose-red color. Size: 2" x 2" x 2"
