Art Over Dinner with Laura Deems

Meet Laura Deems – recipient of the 2025 Decorative Arts Fellowship. Join us at The Farmhouse to view her work over cocktails and dinner. Her pieces will also be displayed in the 2025 Serenbe Showhouse. About Laura Deems:Laura Deems is a contemporary abstract artist trained in textile design at the Lamar Dodd School of Art at the University of Georgia. The foundation of her artistic practice comes from her formal training in dyeing fabrics, weaving, pattern, and screen-printing. Laura’s oeuvre has evolved through a rich vocabulary of composition, mark-making, and color. The creation of pattern, gesture, and movement drives her works on paper, canvas, and textiles. In her effort to “free the motif from the grid,” each piece is uniquely created as a loose interpretation of pattern.
