A great recreational hockey skate for lighter players who don’t play enough to warrant paying for higher end models. It’s a mainly black boot that isn’t as flashy as it’s siblings, but that’s a plus for some people. The 3D Polycarbonate quarter is easier to flex which is great for lighter players, but may not provide enough support for heavier players and won’t last as long as a composite boot for elite players who play hard and often. These boots also have a more traditional, higher volume toe cap instead of the sleek asymmetrical caps featured on the higher end models. The boots are thermoformable which helps with break in and comfort. The boots include a Hi-Lo ventilator steel chassis, Hi-Lo street wheels and Abec 5 bearings. The two-piece chassis should support lighter recreational players, but heavier players or elite players who skate hard may want to consider either upgrading to a higher end model or having a more robust chassis installed.
