Cozy Garden Bench

I designed this outdoor garden bench to be simple and inexpensive to build. I made it using off-the-rack 2x4 studs and 1x4 pine boards from the home center. The materials cost around $20. To join it together, I used a pocket hole jig and pocket screws. This is a small bench, intended for a cozy nook where one or two people can sit to enjoy nature. If you want it a little longer, you just need to cut longer stretchers and seat slats. The angled legs give the bench a subtle, sophisticated look that elevates it from most beginner-level DIY benches, yet they are easy to make.
