In addition to perennial champion New York Yankees, owner Jacob Ruppert also owned the best minor league team in history, the 1937 Newark Bears. This is an ONL (Frick) baseball, signed by 20- members of that historic team. They include some familiar big-league names such as Babe Dahlgren, Joe Gordon, Spud Chandler, Atley Donald, Steve Sundra, Buddy Rosar, Oscar Vitt and Charlie Keller. It is dated Sept 14, 1937 possibly during the World Series. Ful letter JSA COA.  The 1937 Newark Bears, members of the International League, are perhaps baseball's most famous minor-league club. The team compiled an incredible regular-season record of 109-43, finishing 25.5 games ahead of Montreal. Offensively, the team led the league in nearly every major category including batting average (.299), runs (890), hits (1,594), doubles (292), and triples (80).
