Puerto Rico Sticker

Puerto Rico is one of 10 pieces that make up the Wanderlust Series. The entire series is a meditation on my past travels to different locations around the world. During spring break 2006, two of my best friends and I visited Puerto Rico. It was a blissful few days and I often wander back to the beautiful memories I created there. The three memories I chose to reflect upon from that trip include: the magical bioluminescent bay, a moment on a boat on the bay and the vibrant colors of a handmade hammock that I still regret not buying to this day. The second through sixth photos feature all the stickers available in the Wanderlust Sticker pack.  I selected round canvases to reinforce my belief that time is circular. Each painting reflects on a location and three memories or photos from that trip. The swirling look of each painting is like a hazy portal into the past.
