At Dumerso washing station, owners (and sisters) Hirut and Mahder Berhanu carefully oversee the quality-focused processing that ensures their lots feature the sought-after characteristics of the Yirgacheffe region. During the harvest season Hirut employs 290+ workers, 95% of whom are women.
