Lightning Surge Protector/ In-Line Arrester 50 Ohm (SureCall SC-LP)

SureCall Surge Protector (50 Ohm). SureCall SCLP/ SCLP50 lightning surge protector/ in-line arrester can be used within any 50 Ohm signal booster system. This lightning arrestor for outside antenna is designed to protect against lightning surges. It is installed between your external antenna and amplifier, but is not directly connected to either. SureCall's coaxial lightning arrestors act as a signal filter and are designed to pass desired frequencies while suppressing lightning surges. Lightning strike electrical surges are diverted through the protector’s short-circuit to the ground. SC-LP features N-Female connectors on both ends. In the event that lightning strikes your outdoor antenna, or a large power surge occurs, the device will release a gas discharge element to break the connection. The gas element can be replaced if and when this does happen. A short amount of additional coax cable is required for the installation, and the lightning protector must be grounded to be effective
