R & J. Beck Antique Brass Microscope (20810)

The item is an antique brass microscope sold in "as is" condition. The scope was produced by British optical company R & J. Beck and resold by American laboratory supply company, Williams Brown & Earle. As such, the base of the scope features the markings of both firms as well as the scope's serial number (20810). The microscope is in fair condition, though it is generally worn down. The eye piece and turn knob are still pieces of polished brass with some speckling. The microscope is a relatively simple design, with a single turn knob to raise and lower the tube and the unscrewing of a nut at the connection of arm and base allowing the arm and stage to rotate.
