Spencer Lens Co. Antique Brass Microscope (1704)

The item is an antique microscope sold in "as is" condition. The exterior is somewhat scratched, but the scope retains its full brass color except for the exterior of the eye piece. The scope does not include a mirror assembly for reflecting light into the objective, though the bottom mount is still present. The scope has two objectives mounted on a rotating nose piece. Both objectives were produced by the Bausch & Lomb Optical Company. The first is listed as having a focal length of "1/6" inches, or roughly 4 mm, while the second has a listed focal length of "16 mm". The microscope's manufacturer's mark and serial number (1704) are located at the back of the base.  Manufacturer Spencer Lens Co.
