Seattle – Emerald City Seattle is known as the ‘Emerald City’ as it’s filled with greenery all year round. (Must have something to do with all that rain.) Known internationally as the home of grunge and Starbucks, architecturally Seattle is a city with a little bit of everything – home to many older buildings and striking skyscrapers.
