Fuzzbomb (7" Single)

SG-020 was Red Dye’s debut, and what a mighty single it was. Released in April of 1995, the two-song 7” had an initial pressing of 600 on (of course) red vinyl. Almost immediately, the noise-pop quartet was getting college radio play and glowing fanzine reviews from coast to coast. The single even garnered praise from larger publications such as Alternative Press and Raygun.The band quickly followed up with another equally well received 7” on San Francisco- based Candyfloss Records. Now suddenly getting fan mail from as far away as Japan and Australia, Red Dye was officially a buzz band, playing support slots for Julianna Hatfield and Elastica and a slew of other notable acts.After being courted by several major labels, Red Dye No. 5 signed with New York-based Flip records and recorded a full-length at Fort Apache studios in Cambridge Massachusetts with notable producer Tim O’Heir at the helm.
