“Be Wary the River” is a 32 page adaptation of the 20+ hours I spent on the phone in 2021 trying to get health insurance to cover continued treatment for my broken leg. Cartoon-Kit descends into the dark depths of American Hellthcare with dog-pal Tewks and encounters the obstacles I faced on those phone calls, manifested in the forms of various creatures and the relentless tides of The River (aka: being put on hold.)
