Throughout the cup, from first aroma to last sip, we see the sweet and creamy notes of Amaretto liqueur and almond cake. Dancing above this we see a momentary flash of fresh citrus oils, somewhere between grapefruit zest and clementine. After this the cup picks up a herbal note of fresh sage that mellows into sweet tobacco leaf. The Nasa people are indigenous to the Valle de Cauca. They see themselves as the stewards of nature and take that responsibility seriously. Their land has previously been under FARC control with the cultivation of illicit drugs, leaving deep scars throughout many communities. The CENCOIC cooperative serves to represent the speakers
