Imperial Grade Lapsang Souchong

Imperial Grade Lapsang Souchong is a high grade version of the famous Chinese smoked black tea. Lapsang Souchong is made by withering tea leaves over open fires of fresh pine logs, creating a distinctive smoky flavor. This particular Lapsang uses a high grade base tea and was given a series of "lighter" pine scentings, thus building its flavor. The result is smoother, cleaner aroma and flavor. It is smoky, robust and a little biscuity. Compared to our other Lapsang Souchong, this lot is much more balanced, less smokier, and a little sweeter.
