We make these bracelets from discarded pieces of flexible natural gas tubing. The process from scrap metal to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive one. To begin, we measure and cut the pipe into six and a half inch lengths, heat with a torch to soften the metal, cut it open and gently pound it flat so as not to crush the folds.  At this point the metal is dirty, so we soak it in vinegar and give a good scrub to clean. After drying, we measure and mark the width we want for the bracelets and cut the strips. Then, put on mask and gloves and file the sharp edges and do a nice polish all over with the bench grinder. Lastly, we form them into cuffs and put them in the tumbler to work harden. These cuffs are formed from a six and a half inch sheet and are formed to include a 1/2 to 1" gap, so they will be approximately 7 to 7 1/2" in diameter and can be adjusted somewhat to be bigger or smaller. The bar width is one inch. *******************************************************************
