Spiral Cymbal Earrings
These spiral earrings were made from broken brass drum cymbals. The process from scrap to jewelry is a fun and labor intensive process. We begin by making a thin cut along the edge of the cymbal (cymbals are very tough and sharp) and as we cut, the metal forms a spiral. Then we punch and drill a hole in each for the ear wire. Next, put on mask and gloves and file the sharp edges and do a nice polish all over. From there, they go into the tumbler to further polish and work harden. After that, they get their (recycled .925 sterling silver) ear wires and matches. You can find us on Instagram @SimpleWealthArt to see the process and shop our other items.
