MBAS Water Test

Recommended for targeted testing of surfactants as MBAS. MBAS–also called methylene blue active substances–testing can detect the presence of anionic surfactants (such as detergents or other foaming agents) in water through a color reaction process with methylene blue dye. The presence of MBAS in a water sample serves as an indicator of nearby industrial waste dumping or other related contamination. This Tap Score water test package provides all required materials to properly collect and submit a sample for certified laboratory testing. Reported results will include detailed analysis of surfactants as MBAS.
