Adverbs Lesson Plan

This Adverbs Teach-Its® unit includes a rigorous, fun, and engaging lesson to help you teach this difficult skill to your students.   This unit includes: ☞ a Scripted Standards-Based Lesson Plan that includes Learning Targets, Materials, Standards, and a scripted lesson plan to help you effectively teach about what adverbs are and how adverbs are used ☞ a Whole Group Active Engagement Activity to engage and excite your students to help them learn about adverbs. You will engage your students with a super fun HOOK into the adverbs activity, which will lead into a brainstorming activity. Then you will conduct a read-aloud of the picture book, Dearly, Nearly, Insincerely by Brian Cleary (not included) or any book on adverbs. ☞ a Guided Practice Activity where the students will play a game of charades where the students will get one or two verb cards where they will "act out" their word the students will write a sentence using the very AND and adverb to modify the verb.
