Number Sense Fun with Names and Numbers

This Mini-Book will help your students practice a variety of math skills that encompass reading and spelling as well. The students will use the names of students in the class OR use their weekly vocabulary/high frequency/ or spelling words to complete the different math skills in the mini-book. The students will: count the vowels and consonants in the Names or Words count the TOTAL number of letters in the Names or Words figure out if the numbers are Odd and Even create a number bond to represent the part, part, whole relationship draw tally marks to represent the number create a fact family to represent the number represent the number in a tens frame Included in this kit is: Full Color and Black and White Mini-Book Cover Recording Sheet for Names of Students Recording Sheet for Words they choose (vocabulary, high frequency, spelling words, etc.) This Mini-Book can be used in a variety of ways:  My FAVORITE way to utilize this activity is during those “WHAT SHOULD I DO NOW” times
