Herkimer Diamonds are double terminated quartz that are found in Herkimer, NY as well as other places in the US. Double terminated means that the quartz crystal comes to a point at each end. Each herkimer diamond has 18 facets which helps to create a beautiful luster. Since each herkimer diamond is found naturally no two will ever be the same which allows for a truly unique piece. This ring comes in the hammered texture only. ••• This set comes with 3 rings, one hammered herkimer ring, one smooth band and one textured band•••____________________________________________________________________________♥ Please choose your ring size and metal finish in the drop down boxes.MATERIAL (based on your preference):♥ 18 gauge Sterling Silver / 14K Gold Filled / 14K Rose Gold Filled Wire♥ 18 gauge twist wire♥ Prong setting created out of coordinating 20 gauge wire♥ 4-6mm Herkimer Diamond Quartz Crystal (some may have black inclusions as this as a natural occurrence in nature)♥ No two herkimer crystals are the samePROCESS: ♥ Each 18 gauge ring is hand formed, soldered and textured to your specific size.♥ A prong setting is then soldered to the hammered band.♥ All three rings are tumbled.♥ Once the herkimer ring has gone through its first tumble, the Herkimer Diamond is then added and the prong setting is closed. Don't worry,this little beauty isn't going anywhere!♥ The ring is tumbled one last time. ♥ Tumbling polishes, clears away any debris/oxidation and hardens the metal.
