New Orleans-style Coffee

In colonial times, when coffee was a scarce commodity and quite expensive, chicory was added to coffee to help balance out the cost. This practice began with the French and was brought to New Orleans, where the coffee is still a mixture of Arabica beans and Cichorium intybus (chicory root). Our blend of light and dark roast coffee beans and chicory has been specially created to complement all those delicious New Orleans comestibles. What?
