Here is a fabulous new design by Singing Tree Flutes! A Native American style Drone flute, in Aeolian mode with a total of 8 playing holes. Still considered an alternating drone, the melody side of the flute still plays the standard Aeolian scale, with 1.5 octave range, but the drone side plays a total of 5 notes with one fingering hole on top and another thumb hole on the bottom. The drone can now play the scale degrees of 1,4,5,6 and the octave (over blow), that can be changed to drone through the whole melody. This flute uses all 5 fingers on the left hand, but is quite comfortable and easy to manage! It is made of limba wood, with walnut end caps and claw sound blocks. You can order in the key of your choice from C to E. The sound is out of this world! super haunting! Refer to the video below for a sound sample. This made to order flute can be made in C, C#, D, Eb and E in either 440Hz or 432Hz. SPECS: approximate Length for C is 30” with 1” bore, Maximum finger spacing(holes 2 and 3) center to center) =1 1/2”. Distance from mouth to first hole = 22”
