Antique chest, carved teak wood with original polychrome, having two lift up sections for storage. These were used as seats as well as dowry storage and easily carried with a pole that ran through the two holes. These make really nice risers for sculpture or plant stands. late 19th c. This was purchased by my mom back in the early 70's in Connecticut and mixed in with other American and European painted furniture and folk art. Measures:
