This vineyard is located in the noteworthy village of Volnay, atop red, iron-rich soils similar to those found in Pommard. These soils contribute to a more masculine structure in the wine. Notes of dark cherry and plum evolve into stewed mushrooms and tobacco, offering a more rustic character. It’s fantastic now with food or a wonderful candidate for continued cellaring.
