Mamaki is an ancient herbal tea known as Pipturus albidus. It's an indigenous plant to Hawaii and is the nettle family. The plant, although in the nettle family, is a needless nettle plant that inhabits mostly tropical coastal regions and elevations of 200-6,000 feet. Mamaki is a small plant that reaches a height of 30 feet and can continue to thrive for an upwards of 35 years.
